To get started with our home services, the first thing you need to do is download the Skiptown app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. After you download the app, create an account and complete your pet’s profile. You’ll also be able to upload your pet’s vet records and schedule a phone consultation through the app.

Yes, Skiptown is a membership-based club. Membership allows us to offer you a community of responsible dog parents and ensure all dogs are happy, healthy, spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines.

If you’re not a member, you and your pup can still play at Skiptown but you’ll need a day pass or a month pass to access the bar & park. Skiptown members receive exclusive perks across all our services – you can become a member on our Skiptown app!

DAYCARE & Boarding

Welcome to Skiptown! The first step to getting your dog eligible to visit our bar & park and use our daycare and boarding services is downloading the Skiptown app. After you download the app, you should create an account and complete your dog’s profile. The app will prompt you through the registration process. Be sure to have your vet records handy! After your pup’s profile is completed, you’ll be able to schedule a compatibility session for your dog to use our daycare and boarding services.

Yes, if you don’t have a membership, you can purchase a Day Pass for $15 per dog or a Month Pass for $40/dog. To play at Skiptown, all dogs must be registered in the Skiptown app. To register your dog, you’ll need to create an account and fill out your pet’s profile in the Skiptown app. Unregistered dogs will not be allowed at Skiptown – make sure you download the Skiptown app and complete your pet’s profile before you arrive at Skiptown.

Human-only visitors over the age of 21 are welcome to enjoy the bar & park for free. All visitors must sign a waiver, and provide a valid ID for entry.

If you are accompanying a Skiptown member as a human-only guest, you don’t need to create an account in the Skiptown app. You will need to sign a waiver and provide a valid ID for entry.

If you are not accompanied by a Skiptown member, you will need to create an account in the Skiptown app, sign a waiver, and provide a valid ID for entry.

And you may even head home with a new best friend. Skiptown will host monthly #SkipHomeWithMe adoption days in partnership with local rescues.

To be eligible for our daycare and boarding services, or to visit the bar & park, your pup must be up-to-date on bordetella, distemper/parvo and rabies vaccinations. You’re able to share your pup’s proof of vaccines directly in the Skiptown app when you’re completing your pet’s profile. Don’t have your dog’s records handy? No problem! When you’re completing your pet’s profile in the app, we’ll ask you for your veterinarian. Just select your veterinarian from the list and we’ll contact your vet for you to get your pup’s records.

To ensure the safety of our guests, we require all vaccinations be given by a licensed veterinarian. We do not accept dogs who are given at-home vaccinations.

Yes, your pup must be at least four months old to participate in our daycare or boarding services. (If you have a puppy, check our dog walking services until they’re old enough to come play with us at Skiptown!) All pets older than 6 months must be spayed or neutered – exceptions will be made for larger dogs with a note from the vet.

The compatibility session is part of the assessment we conduct with every dog who wants to participate in our daycare or boarding services at Skiptown. Passing our compatibility session is required before your pup can join us for daycare or boarding. Dogs who are aggressive or excessively dominant with other dogs will not be approved for daycare or boarding services because the group play dynamic is an essential part of pet care services at Skiptown.

You can schedule your pup’s compatibility session on the Skiptown app. At the beginning of the compatibility session, we’ll ask you some questions about your BFF (best furry friend), and then we’ll spend the day getting to know your pup – their play style, personality, likes and dislikes – this way we can be sure Skiptown is a good fit for your pup!

We offer compatibility sessions daily; you can view the time options and schedule your pup’s compatibility session directly in the Skiptown app.

Morning compatibility sessions include a full day of daycare. For other time blocks, please see the specific drop off and pick up hours for your selected session when booking in the app.

If your pup is not feeling well, we ask that you keep your pup at home until they feel better. If your pup comes to daycare or boarding sick, we will send them home. You’ll need to have your pup cleared by a veterinarian before bringing them back in for daycare or boarding.

We take the safety of our environment very seriously – at Skiptown, we use state-of-the-art cleaning equipment and protocols to prevent the spread of illness. Any time your dog is interacting with other dogs, there’s an assumed risk that your dog could get sick from another dog; while unlikely, this happens on occasion and is not the fault of anyone. If your dog gets sick while under our care, we may engage the services of a veterinarian or give other necessary attention to the pet. The cost of this care is the responsibility of the pet parent.

If your dog eats lunch or needs medication during the day, you can bring those items to daycare with them. We make it easy for you to customize your dog’s daycare schedule in the Skiptown app by allowing you to add meals and medication to your daycare session.

Your dog should come with all their meals for the duration of their stay. Each kennel is outfitted with a raised bed and cozy blanket for your pet’s comfort. We also welcome small items from home like a blanket or t-shirt to keep your pet company overnight. See below for more information about food and medicine for your dog’s overnight stay.

Dry Food:
If your dog eats dry food, please bring your dog’s dry food in individual sealed bags for each serving. Please label each bag with your dog’s name.

Wet Food:
If your pet eats wet food, please bring your dog’s wet food in the original sealed container with the feeding instructions (e.g. half a can for each meal) written on the container. Please label the container with your dog’s name.

We will accept unpackaged food, but there will be a $5 per day charge to package your pup’s meals.

If your dog runs out of food during their stay, we will provide our house dry dog food at $5/meal. This will be added to the final charge for your pet’s stay.

We are happy to administer oral medications to your dog during their stay. Medications should be brought in the original container with the prescription label. Please update the medication information and dosage instructions in the Skiptown app; you can add medication to your dog’s session when booking your daycare or boarding session. Please communicate any special instructions during check-in and our team will document that information in your pet’s profile.

If you are boarding with us, we allow you to bring a small comfort item. However, toys, beds, large blankets or items are not allowed.

Dogs can be dropped for daycare and boarding starting at 7am, 7 days/week.

Skiptown members receive extended boarding & daycare pick-up hours until 9pm. For non-members we charge $10 for pick up between 7pm and 9pm.

We love having pups from the same family come to Skiptown together! We’re happy to accommodate your preference on how often you want them hanging out together. If they prefer to be together all the time, we will keep them in the same play group. We also give you the option to request they sleep and take naps together in the same kennel or kennel-free room.

When you book multiple dogs from the same household together, you’ll receive a 50% discount for each additional dog after the first dog.

Holiday pick-up and drop off times, minimum nights per stay and cancellation restrictions vary by holiday and will be communicated well in advance. Skiptown members receive early access to the holiday booking schedule.

Yes, we have cameras throughout the facility! Our staff uses these cameras to ensure quality control. For our clients, we send two session reports every day with photos and a pup-date so you can see your pup’s face and get the full update on what your pup’s been doing!

There are always risks when dogs are socializing with other dogs. To minimize the likelihood for dog disagreements and injury, we assess every dog’s personality and require all dogs pass a compatibility session before they’re able to participate in daycare or boarding at Skiptown. Our group play dynamic is a core part of our daycare and boarding experience – aggressive or overly dominant dogs will not be approved for daycare or boarding services.

Even dogs who pass our compatibility session may get into disagreements with other dogs who come to play at Skiptown. Like humans, some dogs have bad days, too! If your pup is involved in a disagreement, they may be asked not to come back until they’re seen by a trainer. Safety and fun are our top priorities, and we’re glad to be able to create an environment that looks out for everyone!

HOME SERVICES

To get started with our home services, the first thing you need to do is download the Skiptown app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. After you download the app, create an account and complete your pet’s profile. The app will prompt you to input the required information that we need to have in order to confirm your pet’s eligibility. You’ll also be able to upload your pet’s vet records and schedule a phone consultation through the app.

During the 20 minute phone consultation, we’ll go through all your pet’s information and take detailed notes about your pet’s routine, home access information and security. We’ll confirm your visit routine preferences and make sure you’re comfortable knowing how to customize each visit so we can meet your pet’s individual needs every time! The consultation is also a great time to ask any questions you might have about our service. At the end of the consultation, you’ll be ready to start using Skiptown Home Services.

We take home security, and your peace of mind, very seriously. We consider ourselves stewards of the home and the family – the well-being of your pet and your home is as important to us as it is to you! We follow best security practices and utilize a fully-digitized system to safely and securely store your home access information. We never hold keys or personal property.

During the consultation, we’ll go over your home security protocol. We’re able to fully customize the home entry routine to align with your preferences – whether you prefer we use a lockbox (purchased through Skipper or on your own), a keyless entry code, an alarm system, or apartment unit access through a leasing office, we’re happy to fit your needs!

Yes! While dogs make up a majority of our clients, we love our cats, too, and all of our Skippers are professionally-trained in cat care and feline behavior! For our cat clients, you’ll need to download the Skiptown app and create an account. After you’ve set up your cat’s profile in the app and completed a phone consultation, you can book a home visit for your cat through our app. During cat care visits, we’ll customize our visit routine to meet your cat’s needs! Depending on your cat’s personality, we engage with your cat as much as you like. We know how crafty at hiding some cats can be; that’s why during your Skiptown home visit, we’ll always make sure we locate your cat in the house (even if they don’t want to play!) so you know that they’re doing well. Before we refresh their litter box, we always document what we find in the litter box so you know your cat is eating and drinking normally! You’ll receive a detailed visit report with updates on how your cat is doing and photos of your cat.

Your dog or cat will be cared for by one of our expertly-trained pet care professionals. All of our Skippers go through an intensive 5-step recruiting and training process before they’re hired to join our elite team. We select fewer than 10% of applicants to join Skiptown. The hiring and training process includes two background checks, an in-person interview, and 5 days of classroom and on-site training including animal behavior and wellness training and pet first aid. All of our Skippers are bonded and insured.

Your dog or cat might see the same person every time depending on when that Skipper is staffed. All of our Skippers are trained to the same high standard of care so you’ll receive consistency in service for every visit. You can see which team member is assigned to your visit in the Skiptown app – meet and learn more about our exceptional Skippers here!

You can easily book and manage your home services visits through the Skiptown app. Visits booked or cancelled after 6 PM the day prior to the visit will incur a $6 fee.

We never charge for additional pets in a home services visit. Prices are based on time and we’re happy to take care of your whole fur family during your visit.

We are happy to help you with bringing in the mail, watering the plants, or turning on/off the lights for no additional charge! You just need to indicate in your visit notes any reasonable additional services you need us to handle and we will take care of them during your visit. If you need additional services, please book a visit duration that allows for enough time for your Skipper to complete all requests! For requests that necessitate more time than the reserved visit length, we may extend your visit length and update the charge to your account.

We offer home services visits Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. When you schedule a visit, you’ll have the option to indicate the requested arrival window for your Skipper. The minimum arrival window for your visit to begin is 90 minutes (i.e. if you book a visit with a 90 minute arrival window between 11:30am-1pm, your Skipper will arrive sometime between 11:30am and 1pm). You’ll be notified through the Skiptown app when your Skipper arrives.

Yes, we are happy to administer oral or topical medication to your pet during their visit. Please update the medication information and dosage instructions in the Skiptown app; you can add medication to your dog or cat’s visit when booking. For any other medications please contact our support team and we’ll try to accommodate your needs.

If requested as a part of your pet’s routine, we’d be happy to provide off-leash exercise in a secured area – like a backyard or in a dog park!

Please note, to ensure the safety of our fur clients, we do not allow any of our fur clients to interact with non-household dogs during Skiptown home visits – that means we’ll only be able to utilize dog parks when there is no one else using them. We take this policy seriously as it’s typical for dogs to be leash-aggressive – we will cross the street when we see another dog being walked along the same path. It’s our priority to create an environment that keeps your pet safe at all times!
