Skiptown FAQs

Welcome to Skiptown! The first step to getting your dog eligible to use our daycare and boarding services is downloading the Skiptown app. After you download the app, you should create an account and complete your dog’s profile. The app will prompt you through the registration process. Be sure to have your vet records handy! After your pup’s profile is completed, you’ll be able to schedule a compatibility session for your dog.

The compatibility session is part of the assessment we conduct with every dog who wants to participate in our daycare or boarding services at Skiptown. Passing our compatibility session is required before your pup can join us for daycare or boarding. Dogs who are aggressive or excessively dominant with other dogs will not be approved for daycare or boarding services because the group play dynamic is an essential part of pet care services at Skiptown.

You can schedule your pup’s compatibility session on the Skiptown app. At the beginning of the compatibility session, we’ll ask you some questions about your BFF (best furry friend), and then we’ll spend the day getting to know your pup – their play style, personality, likes and dislikes – this way we can be sure Skiptown is a good fit for your pup!

We offer compatibility sessions daily; you can view the time options and schedule your pup’s compatibility session directly in the Skiptown app.

Morning compatibility sessions include a full day of daycare. For other time blocks, please see the specific drop off and pick up hours for your selected session when booking in the app.

To be eligible for our daycare and boarding services, your pup must be up-to-date on bordetella, distemper/parvo and rabies vaccinations. You’re able to share your pup’s proof of vaccines directly in the Skiptown app when you’re completing your pet’s profile. Don’t have your dog’s records handy? No problem! When you’re completing your pet’s profile in the app, we’ll ask you for your veterinarian. Just select your veterinarian from the list and we’ll contact your vet for you to get your pup’s records.

To ensure the safety of our guests, we require all vaccinations be given by a licensed veterinarian. We do not accept dogs who are given at-home vaccinations.
